About Innovation Africa
Innovation Africa has been established since 2011, becoming the leading ministerial gathering for education, skills and ICT innovation. Africa’s education and innovation agenda is entering a new phase of development, from policies of capacity building and access to producing outcomes and connecting education to employment.
The 2027-28 market opportunity reflects the challenge of African policy makers in connecting each component whereby education develops talent, skills enable participation, innovation converts knowledge into solutions and this in turn creates value and enterprise. Education → Skills → Research → Innovation → Entrepreneurship → Enterprise → Employment → Industrialisation.
Innovation Africa 2027 is positioned for the 2027-28 "Procurement Super-Cycle" across the ten key areas of: EdTech and AI enabled education; national digital learning platforms; teacher transformation; competency-based curriculum; modern TVET; STEM infrastructure; digital assessment; skills and classroom technology; university-industry collaboration; and youth innovation.

AFRICA’S MINISTERIAL SUMMIT
Innovation Africa is a unique meetings-based event, whereby industry and development partners have the opportunity to book pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings with governments from across sub-Saharan Africa representing: Ministries of Education, Ministries of Higher Education, Ministries of ICT and Digital Economy, Ministries of Skills & Labour Development and Ministries of Science & Technology.

BUSINESS TO GOVERNMENT MEETINGS
At the heart of the Innovation Africa Summit is the unique format of dedicated pre-scheduled meetings between industry partners, development stakeholders and government ministers with their senior officials.
All participating partners will be able to schedule meetings of their choice with Ministries of Education, Higher Education, ICT and Digital Economy, Skills & Labour Development and Science & Technology from over 35 African countries.
No other education and innovation event in Africa guarantees comparable, scheduled one-to-one meetings that give all participants a return on their time and investment.
Our aim is to give everyone the opportunity to be part of the creation of a new generation of African education and innovation ecosystems capable of both preparing young Africans for the future economy and enabling them to build it.
